Key Responsibilities
- Prepare desserts and pastry products according to established recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
- Produce soufflés, puddings, crème brûlée, and other pastry specialties.
- Follow the daily production schedule for the assigned section.
- Apply batch preparation methods to maintain quality, optimize resources, and minimize waste.
- Monitor the consumption of ingredients required for daily production.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible recipe files for the assigned section.
- Supervise and mentor Commis Pastry team members during operational activities.
- Assist with the practical training and onboarding of newly assigned pastry staff.
- Follow the guidance of the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry.
- Ensure that all production meets established quality and presentation standards.
- Apply portion and production controls to minimize food waste.
- Maintain current knowledge of public health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with procedures related to food handling, storage, and waste management.
- Maintain courteous and professional working relationships within an international and multicultural team.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in accordance with operational needs.
