Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bread, Danish pastries, muffins, and other bakery products at the assigned station.
- Follow established recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.
- Adhere to the daily production schedule established by the Chief Baker or Chef de Partie Bakery.
- Supervise assigned bakery staff during operational activities.
- Monitor ingredient consumption and report any fluctuations that may affect production.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible recipe files for the assigned section.
- Apply batch production methods to minimize waste and optimize available resources.
- Contribute to meeting the bakery section’s cost targets.
- Handle ingredients, finished products, and equipment with care.
- Train team members in bakery techniques, production methods, recipes, product-holding procedures, and presentation standards.
- Assist with the training and orientation of newly assigned bakery crew members.
- Ensure compliance with applicable hygiene, food safety, environmental, and public health regulations.
- Follow maritime regulations and the company’s onboard safety procedures.
- Perform assigned duties within the vessel’s emergency response organization.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in accordance with operational needs.
