INCENTIVE PLANS for clinical staff

We are pleased to announce the following five new incentive plans for clinical staff within the Holland America Group family of brands, effective immediately:

Extension of Contract Bonus +50% base pay (11th additional day onward) Nov. 15, 2021, to June 30, 2022
  1. Holiday premium pay
    Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics with existing or new assignments that touch the period of December 15, 2021, to January 15, 2022, will receive double pay for any days worked during this time. This premium pay will be included in normal payroll.
  • Return to service premium pay
    Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics with new or existing assignments that touch the timeframe of November 15, 2021, through December 14, 2021, and/or January 16, 2022, through June 30, 2022, will receive an additional 30% premium on top of their daily rate, to be reflected in the normal payroll schedule. Those already receiving double pay for the period December 15 – January 15 will be excluded from the additional 30% premium during these days.
  • Sign on bonus
    For Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics who commit to a full contract with a start date prior to March 31, 2022, the following bonuses will be paid within 1-2 pay periods after the start of a contract:
  • Paramedics – $2,000
  • Nurses / Sr. Nurses – $2,500
  • Doctors / Sr. Doctors – $4,000

Additionally, anyone who commits to joining by January 15, 2022, will receive an added premium of $1,000 on top of the amounts above. Locum assignments are not eligible for the bonus.

  • Early return bonus
    Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics who have had at least one month of leave, and are willing to rejoin a new contract at least two weeks early at the company’s request, will be eligible for the following bonuses per week, up to four weeks:
  • Paramedics – $500/week, (max 4 weeks = $2000)
  • Nurses – $750/week (max 4 weeks = $3000)
  • Sr. Nurses – $1,000/week (max 4 weeks = $4,000)
  • Doctors – $1,250/week (max 4 weeks = $5,000)
  • Sr. Doctors – $1,750/week (max 4 weeks = $7,000)

These early return bonuses will be applicable November 15, 2021, through June 30, 2022; however, this time period may be adjusted as business needs change. Early return bonuses will be paid within 1 to 2 pay periods of joining a ship and will be prorated daily. Locum assignments are not eligible for the bonus.

  • Medical team member extension of contract bonus
    Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics who agree to extend their standard contract longer than 10 days at the company’s request due to operational needs, will be eligible to receive an additional 50% of their daily rate paid for every subsequent day (from the 11th day on) until the end of their contract. This 50% bonus will be reflected in normal payroll during the period of extension.

This medical team member extension of contract bonus is applicable for new requests to extend made after November 15, 2021, through June 30, 2022. This time period may be adjusted as business needs change. Locum assignments are not eligible for the bonus.
